This Earth Day, we are shining a spotlight on how platinum is helping to improve air quality and achieve decarbonisation goals. For over 50 years platinum has been at the centre of reducing harmful vehicle emissions through its use in catalytic converters. What is more, it is also at the forefront of hydrogen fuel cell technology, powering emissions-free fuel cell electric vehicles. There is even the prospect of platinum use in battery electric vehicles.
