Artificial intelligence (AI) is fast becoming the defining technology of our time. The key to unlocking its secrets can be found in the Earth's crust, where a diverse array of minerals and elements lay dormant, waiting to be harnessed for their remarkable properties. Among these are platinum group metals. Platinum demand across AI spans a range of existing industrial uses and proven technologies; AI applications are an emerging new end market. It is too soon to quantify global demand growth potential, but platinum demand growth from AI is already in evidence.
